What you should not know about your health
We all spend over €100 billion on healthcare, but statistics show that no less than 57% of the Dutch have one or more chronic diseases.
What is going wrong and what can we do about it?
This presentation focuses on health and what it takes to get and stay healthy.
Achieving good health first requires an understanding of our current mainstream healthcare system and its results based on suppressing symptoms.
Two specific examples (arteriosclerosis and ADHD) show the regular medical approach and how, with understanding of the underlying cause, it could also be tackled.
It also provides insight into why vitamins are suppressed and what vested interests lie behind this.
The aim is to make it clear that we should be moving towards a new health care system based on modern science, prevention and identifying and addressing the cause of disease or suboptimal health.
Introducing Dr Nick van Ruiten:
Nick studied medicine in Antwerp and Rotterdam. As he was not satisfied with his career as a doctor, he subsequently successfully completed a business administration course (MBA).
He then worked for six years as a management consultant for the Boston Consulting Group.
His interest in the workings of the human body brought him back to the medical industry and, in particular, to the field of high-tech active medical implants.
As time went by, he began to realise more and more that healthcare had to and could be done differently. Based on these new insights, he started the company Free Choice with the aim of helping people to maintain or restore their health.
